If my buddies and I had only three days of sweet vacation to spend in shining Southern California, there would be no end to the good times! First thing we would do is wake up a little before noonish, head down to Huntington Beach and get some insanely delicious eats at the iconic TK Burger, off Pacific Coast Highway. After stuffing ourselves we would walk ten seconds onto the golden honey beaches, lay down our towels, and dive into the inviting azure waters of the Pacific. Boogey boarding, body boarding, skim boarding, any kind of boarding we desire, or simply float all mellow-like amidst the bobbing swells. We would spend all day at the beach playing Frisbee, football, volleyball, napping, and all other beach related activities. Once the sun begins to simmer, we head back to the hotel, make ourselves look presentable, and start the quick road trip up to Los Angeles. The best thing to do would be to grab dinner at the Stinking Rose off La Cienega in The Hills, and savor garlic in ways we’ve never yet dreamed of. After

dinner and a truckload of breath mints we would drive down Sunset Boulevard, and after some late night sightseeing, grab tickets at the Famous Laugh Factory. A guaranteed hilarious time, we would stay until our abs burned and smiling became illegal because it hurt so much. After that, if we were up for it, go shoot some pool in Korea Town at one of the many late-night pool halls. We would stay at a hotel in the city that night.
The next day we would cruise over to the majestic land of Mickey…Disneyland. All would splurge on Fast Passes, and ride every roller coaster time would afford us. Snap pictures with Goofy and the gang, and then head back to the hotel. That night we’d go to Habibi Café in Westwood Village, have some dinner and some exotic hookah flavors, and grab those unbelievably tasty ice-cream cookies from Diddy Reise. After desert we’d watch a concert at the Fonda, Key Club, The Whiskey, Roxy, Wiltern, or any of the countless other venues that have a million talented bands playing at any time.
The next day we’d relax in Santa Monica, hang out at the beach, go check out the pier, ride the famous Merry Go Round, and peruse the shops and café’s off Main Street and Third Street Promenade. When that’s all done and we’re nice and brown, we’ll finish stimulating our bodies and start stimulating our minds, and visit the LACMA (Los Angeles County Museum of Art). Whatever exhibit they’re showing, right now its Salvador Dali, it will be amazing and we will walk out beaming with intellectual and aesthetic satisfaction. For the final vacation dinner we will go out with a bang and get Korean Barbecue at Cho Sun Galbi, one of, if not the best, Korean Barbecue in all of K-Town. After endless plates of sumptuous self-cooked meats in our bellies, the Avalon would be our next destination, unless there was an doozy of an event going on at the Staples Center that we bought tickets for. The Avalon usually has some talented and sometimes legendary DJs, and there is sure to be a sweet dance party going on all night. We could stay at the Avalon the whole time or shimmy over to the endless choices of dance clubs. After clubbing, we would just see how we are feeling and let the unmistakable Los Angeles nightlife energy lead us in the right direction. After whatever surprises the night might have for us, the vacation will be triumphantly completed!
